Golf at La Motte
The following are some of the local golf courses
within easy access of your accommodation at Lamotte. All the
following are 18-hole courses and one has two full courses.
They are listed in what we at Villamotte consider to be their
order of merit. Green fees are quoted for 18 holes, although
9-hole plays are available cheaper. If you wish us to book

Four
Seasons at Tourettes
30 mins from villa
This 2 x 18-hole course has been recently built by Marriott
Hotels to be the best on the Cote D’Azur. For a non-member
this is probably correct. Beautiful courses, superb facilities
including an hotel on site.
Distance varies from 5100 to 6600 metres.
Green fees 75 to 95 euros.
Buggy optional.
A visit is a must for the experienced golfer.
Golf
Valescure, St Raphael
30 mins from villa
This course was established in 1895 and as you can imagine
is mature. There are facilities such as driving range, practice
course, golf lessons, clubhouse catering etc. It has a high
reputation on the south coast and must have hosted many important
competitions in its day. It can be deceptively difficult.
Length of course is between 4300 and 5000 metres.
Par 68.
Green fees vary between 50 and 60 euros depending on timing.
Buggies are optional.
Saint
Endreol – La Motte
5 mins from villa
This is a spectacular 18-hole golf course and hotel complex
just five minutes from the villa. The fairways are quite open
but undulating. The 13th hole is on an island on the river
Endre. Handicap certificate is not compulsory after 1.00pm
if accompanied. There are usual facilities such as driving
range, golf lessons, bar, restaurant, swimming pool, fitness
centre etc.
Par 72.
Green fees vary between 51 and 68 euros.
Buggies are optional.

Golf
at Ste Maxime
30 mins from villa
This is a tricky and hilly course now surrounded by many villas
overlooking the bay of St Tropez. The atmosphere is very friendly
with a pleasant clubhouse, bar and restaurant.
The distance varies between 4500 and 6100 metres over 18 holes.
Par 71.
Green fees are 60 euros although they have a promotion of
120 euros for two including buggy.
Buggies are compulsory over the last nine holes.
Golf
Esterel
30 mins from villa
This course is not far from Valescure and close to St Raphael.
It is an American style course designed by Robt Trent Jones.
Lots of bunkers and water hazards make this a challenging
course to play.
Distance approx 5600 metres maximum.
Par 71.
Green fees vary between 50 and 60 euros.
Buggies are available.
Golf
de Roquebrune
15 mins from villa
This is an 18-hole course with fairly open fairways, undulating
but not hilly. This is an ideal course for the inexperienced
golfer – far more forgiving than St Endreol of St Maxime.
Lessons are available as well as driving range. The clubhouse,
restaurant and bar are informal as is the general atmosphere
at the club as a whole.
Distance varies between 4600 and 5800 metres.
Par 71.
Green fees vary between 50 and 55 euros.
Buggies are optional.
